After asserting earlier this month he must shut his flagship restaurant, chef Christian Gill says Boomtown Biscuits & Whiskey in Pendleton is getting a second likelihood.
In a Fb put up, Gill writes: “The outpouring of affection and help from the neighborhood has been overwhelming and we’re taking one other shot to avoid wasting the biscuits that Christian and PJ labored so exhausting to deliver to downtown Cincinnati.”
Earlier in January, Gill stated he was going to need to shutter Boomtown’s Pendleton restaurant attributable to fallout from the pandemic and “all the surrounding circumstances which have plagued the business over the past two years.” (There’s a second Boomtown location in Union, Kentucky.)
Now, he says he is trying to implement a crowdfunding system to help Boomtown and to let the general public personal shares within the eatery.
The information comes simply after the one-year anniversary of Boomtown proprietor PJ Neumann’s demise, whom Gill mentions in his put up. Beforehand, Gill known as Boomtown “PJ’s dream come to fruition,” and stated in his put up, “With the anniversary of PJ’s passing, we knew we needed to give you one thing to try to preserve the gold in Pendleton.”
“We’re grateful to have this opportunity to threat it for the biscuit and supply 24k service for Biscuit Brunch in downtown Cincinnati,” he added.
The restaurant can be adjusting its hours for now, reopening Jan. 27 and beginning day by day service Jan. 31. Hours can be 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and eight a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday. Gill says there may even be extra occasions arising on the eatery.
